ONLY THE OWNER OF THE LAMP KNOWS HOW TO TURN IT ON, AS IT HAS A HIDDEN BUTTON. IT IS A FLAT PACK SCONCE THAT CAN ALSO BE SET AS A TABLE LAMP. THE IDEATION OF THIS LAMP WAS DONE IN COLLABORATION WITH A CUSTOM TRAINED GENERATIVE ai MODEL BASE ON MY OWN WORK. THIS CONCEPT WAS THEN SHAPED TO ADHERE TO MY owN DESIGN ETHOS.

A GENERATIVE AI MODEL WAS TRAINED A CUSTOM DATSET. This dataset was made up of 75% my own work. It was then used to generate concepts for a lamp
the prompting:
A cool vibrant red square-shaped object with a series of parallel ridges creating a corrugated effect, internally illuminated
the Ai combined some of the features in these objects to create the concept.
interpreting the concept:
I made a list of requirements and how important they were to me, this guided my decisions when designing the lamp
challenges in designing the lamp:
how to diffuse the light and get the inner rectangle TO breakaway from the main one?
I created a box inside a box, one made out of red acrylic and the other out of frosted acrylic.
how would i achiEve the corrugated effect?
since there is no red corrugated acrylic sheet in the market, i decided to chain acrylic rods together to achieve the effect i wanted.
How can I make it flat pack?
I useD M5 screws and heated inserts to make sure that it would be easy to dissasemble and assemble with just one tool.
