PROMETHEUS lAMP

maDE THROUGH THE EXPLORATION OF CARDBOARD, AND INSPIRED BY THE mYTH OF pROMETHEUS.

ASSIMILATING gREEK PILLARS TO THE CORRUGATIONS FOUND IN CARDBOARD.

The pillars of the lamp are not held together by glue, instead they are held through the pressure created when rolling a piece of cardboard and fit into a hole. This pressure fit causes the asymmetry between them. A joint that uses no glue also echoes the joinery used by the Greeks to build the actual pillars. A main focus of this lamp was to work with the features of cardboard rather than trying to hide them / work against them.
